Honoring Edith Piaf: A Symphony Tribute

A symphonic tribute to Edith Piaf will be held on January 30 and 31 at the Teatro de la Ciudad in Mexico City, featuring Maria Katzarava and the Atlantic Symphony Orchestra.

The recognized soprano María Katzarava will carry out a symphonic homage to the iconic French singer Edith Piaf, on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of her death. Accompanied on stage by narrator Hernán Del Riego, the show at the Teatro de la Ciudad will be dedicated to the story of an exile in search of freedom who finds Piaf in the vibrant Parisian night.

María Katzarava highlights Piaf's ability to interpret each word with passion and is supported by Yonatan Sánchez Santianes in musical arrangements and Maestro Isabel Costes leading the Atlantic Symphony Orchestra. The repertoire includes some of Piaf's greatest hits, such as "La vie en rose" and "Non, je ne regrette rien."

In the concerts scheduled for the end of January, pianist and conductor Alexander Vivero will join the cast. The original dramaturgy by José Carlos Campos brings to life the intense biography of Edith Piaf, a key figure in the history of music.

The event, announced at a press conference and supervised by personalities such as Ana Francis López Bayghen Patiño and Mireille Bartilotti Rodríguez, will take place at the Teatro de la Ciudad "Esperanza Iris." Tickets are already available at the theater's box office and on Ticketmaster.
